The thermoregulation system must continuously compare the room temperature with the set point value and consequently increase or decrease the thermal power emitted by the heating bodies.

A good regulation system must therefore quickly perceive any increase in the room temperature so as to stop the supply of heat and, if not, respond quickly to the request for heat, so as to limit the fluctuations in the room temperature.
